Inaugurated by the Mayor of Bandung, the existence of this Solar-powered Hut has increasingly provided benefits for residents visiting Tegallega Park. Several residents who usually exercise in Tegallega Park use this hut to rest after being tired of running around the Bandung Lautan Api monument. Not only that, they can also charge their cellphone batteries from the charging port provided on the hut table.

Based on residents' statements, they are greatly helped by the existence of this solar-powered hut. "Yes, it is useful for resting after exercise or for charging cellphones," said one resident. SEI and Prima Powertek Niaga Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of New and Renewable Energy

BANDUNG – As an effort to develop business and cooperation in the field of Renewable Energy, PT Surya Energi Indotama (SEI) and PT Prima Powertek Niaga have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two companies. The signing of the MoU was carried out by Bambang Iswanto as President Director of SEI, and Yoo Won Kyu as President Director of PT Prima Powertek Niaga.

The purpose of this cooperation is to implement various Solar Power Plant (PLTS) development programs in several strategic locations both domestically and abroad, as well as other renewable energy projects. To Create a Competent Emergency Response Team, SEI Holds Fire and Work Accident Handling Training

BANDUNG - The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Team of PT Surya Energi Indotama (SEI) conducted Work Accident/First Aid (P3K) Training on Wednesday (13/07) and Fire Disaster Management on Thursday (14/07) with participants representing employees from each department. The training was led directly by the Bandung PMI Team and the Bandung City Fire Department Team.

This training aims to provide knowledge related to emergency response when a work accident or fire occurs in the SEI environment, as well as being able to conduct simulations if this happens. Training participants are also expected to be able to provide a brief explanation to each division regarding the correct emergency response attitude, as well as become a competent emergency response team in the SEI environment.

The training event began with the presentation of materials and theories. Next is practice, both in terms of providing assistance to victims of work accidents and procedures for using APAR (Light Fire Extinguishers) when a fire occurs. At the end of the session, a fire simulation was also carried out involving all SEI employees.

In this case, through the HSE Team, PT Surya Energi Indotama as a subsidiary of PT Len Industri (Persero) which is also one of the pioneering companies in the development of EBT is committed to maintaining the safety and security of all SEI employees.

Collaboration Between BUMN Subsidiaries, SEI and IFPRO Install PLTS at Merak and Bakauheuni Executive Terminals

Cilegon (8/7/2022) – Sosoro Merak Executive Terminal and Anjungan Agung Bakauheuni have now been integrated with electrical energy from solar panels or solar power. Indonesia Ferry Properti (IFRPO) as a subsidiary of ASDP which is the provider and manager of Sosoro Merak Executive Terminal and Anjungan Agung Bakauheuni has installed a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) from PT Surya Energi Indotama (SEI).

IFPRO categorizes this environmental-based management as a form of using New Renewable Energy (EBT). Solar panels at the Sosoro Merak Executive Terminal and Anjungan Agung Bakauheuni are examples of the use of EBT as a form of environmental concern. This installation is a collaboration between IFPRO and SEI, both of which are BUMN subsidiaries, as a form of collaboration in the form of environmental care and support for government programs in achieving net zero commitments by 2060.

"The collaboration in utilizing PLTS between IFPRO and SEI is a form of synergy and collaboration between 2 BUMN subsidiaries. The installation of this PLTS shows a joint commitment to support environmental, social and corporate governance-based businesses / Environmental Social Governance (ESG) which has been improved from year to year. Hopefully this collaboration will have a positive impact in supporting the government's efforts to achieve net zero emission commitments by 2060," said I Made Sandika as Director of Marketing and Business Development of SEI.

The solar energy installed at the IFPRO Executive Terminal uses the On Grid PLTS system. In this system, the PLTS remains connected to the PLN electricity network. The energy generated from the solar panels will be converted by the inverter from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) which can be used directly for electricity needs. The installed panel capacity is 324 kWp at the Sosoro Merak Executive Terminal, and 189 KWp at the Anjungan Agung Bakauheuni Executive Terminal.

The collaboration between IFPRO and SEI has a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) scheme. With this scheme, SEI will build and finance the entire solar panel installation and has the right to be used by IFPRO during the 20-year usage contract period. After 20 years, the solar panels will be handed over as IFPRO assets. In this way, IFPRO does not incur any investment costs for installing solar panels at all (zero capex). On the other hand, IFPRO can save electricity costs with a certain agreed efficiency value.

Ferry Snyders as the President Director of IFPRO stated that this program will provide many benefits, both in terms of operational finance and the environment.

SEI Healthy With AAA Score, PT Len Industri (Persero) Gives Appreciation

Bandung, (30/06/2022) – PT Surya Energi Indotama as a subsidiary of PT Len Industri (Persero) on Thursday held a GMS (General Meeting of Shareholders) together with other subsidiaries at the office of PT Len Industri (Persero) Bandung, West Java.

This meeting was attended directly by Indarto Pamoengkas as Commissioner of SEI, Bambang Iswanto as President Director of SEI, I Made Sandika Dwiantara as Director of Marketing and Business Development, and Fajar Miftahul Falah as Director of Engineering and Operations. PT Surya Energi Indotama submitted its 2021 Performance Report to PT Len Industri (Persero) as the parent holding and majority shareholder.

In 2021, SEI managed to achieve revenue of 1.04 trillion rupiah or 202.07% of the 2021 RKAP target. This achievement was based on contracts obtained for both Carry Over projects and new projects.

Meanwhile, SEI's EBITDA realization was 164.93 billion and its 2021 net profit was 142.58 billion or 299.16% of the 2021 profit target of 47.66 billion.

SEI's achievement in 2021 received appreciation from the Board of Directors of PT Len Industri (Persero) as the majority shareholder and PT Eltran Indonesia as the minority shareholder. One of the objectives of this Specific Working Visit is to get an overview of the problems faced and the support expected by PT Len and PT SEI in developing solar panel infrastructure in Indonesia, as well as to find out the effectiveness of the government's role in overcoming various problems faced by communities in the regions.

This objective is motivated by the facts that currently there are very large opportunities for domestic industries to develop businesses in the PLTS sector. However, production capacity in Indonesia is still long and expensive compared to other countries. Added to this is the lack of integration of the solar panel industry components from upstream to downstream.

As a pioneer of solar panel companies in Indonesia that has been operating for 14 years, PT SEI always strives to develop the solar panel industry so that it is quickly accepted by the community. Deputy Chairman of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Eddy Soeparno, also said that there are still many 3T areas that have not been fully connected to electricity. In fact, with the abundant sunshine in Indonesia, it can be utilized to develop solar panels in these areas.

"The areas that are prioritized in this development are areas that have not yet been comprehensively connected to electricity, especially in the 3T areas. And if the government can program this, perhaps the industrial sector can survive and on the other hand, the areas that still have 3T can be helped," explained the politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN).

PT SEI has long been actively building PLTS systems in 3T areas. One of them is by building solar-powered BTS Signal Towers in remote areas. With government support, it is hoped that this PLTS will be the leading solution for all 3T areas in Indonesia. So it is complete, starting from the focus of upstream to downstream implementation that is beneficial to the community.

PLTS is one of the government's priority programs to achieve the target of developing EBT by 23% in 2025. The potential for solar energy in Indonesia is also very high and is starting to have competitive prices. Therefore, synergy is needed between the Government as a regulator, PLN as an operator, the industry as a producer, and the community as consumers so that they are able to accelerate the utilization of solar energy potential as soon as possible.

Rooftop Solar Power Plant Development in Household and Industrial Sectors Still Needs to be Developed

The use of Rooftop Solar Power Plants (PLTS) is currently familiar to the public regarding its usefulness in providing electricity savings. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources explained that the potential for Rooftop PLTS that can still be developed in Indonesia reaches 32.5 gigawatts (GW). The household sector takes the most potential, namely 19.8 GW, followed by the business sector 5.9 GW, the industrial sector 1.9 GW, and the government sector 0.3 GW.

Director of Various Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Andriah Feby Misna said that the use of roofs as a place for PLTS is a solution for the construction of PLTS which usually takes up quite a large area of ​​land. With the existence of Rooftop PLTS so far, Andriah hopes that the cost of procuring PLTS land can be reduced, in line with the government program for the implementation of Rooftop PLTS which is targeted to reach 3.61 GW by 2025.

On the other hand, in the industrial sector, the use of Rooftop PLTS will increase the competitiveness of industry in Indonesia. Moreover, the European Union plans to implement a carbon limit adjustment mechanism that will impact Indonesia's exports to the European Union.

In a separate meeting, Director of INDEF (Institute for Development of Economic and Finance) Beryl Martawadaya said that for renewable energy, the government must look at it comprehensively, one of which is from the perspective of the economic impact on Indonesia.

As of April 2022, registered Rooftop Solar Power users throughout Indonesia still reached 5,547 customers with a capacity of 0.06 GW, dominated by the household sector. In terms of location, West Java dominates as the highest Rooftop Solar Power customers, followed by Jakarta, Central Java, and Yogyakarta.

Rooftop Solar Power components include solar modules, inverters, customer electricity connections, security systems, and export-import kWh meters. The purpose and benefits of Rooftop Solar Power are as a solution to save customers' electricity bills, get electricity supplies from clean energy, namely New Renewable Energy, and at the same time contribute to reducing the effects of greenhouse gas emissions.

PT SEI’s Collaboration in Developing Competent Human Resources with the Renewable Energy Skill Development Project

Bandung, (08/06/2022) - As an effort to improve the quality of students and also knowledge in the field of renewable energy, in this case PT SEI signed a memorandum of understanding with GFA Consulting Group as the project implementer mandated by the Swiss Government - the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the implementation of the RESD (Renewable Energy Skill Development) project which aims to support the design, planning, installation, operation and maintenance of renewable power plants in Indonesia competently through the provision of quality Human Resources (HR).

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Fajar Miftahul Falah as the Director of Engineering and Operations of PT SEI and also Martin Stottele as the RESD Team Leader.
