Maximizing Renewable Energy Potential: Ridwan Kurnia Becomes a Resource Person for LPDP Community of Practice
Jakarta (25/04/24) - In the last decade, Renewable Energy has become a hot topic in the world, including Indonesia. Various solutions, strategies, regulations and actions continue to be implemented to suppress the rate of global warming which is a real threat in front of our eyes. Concerned about this, Director of Marketing and Business Development Ridwan Kurnia was present as a resource person at an event entitled "Community Of Practice: Renewable Energy" in collaboration with the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP).
Taking place at the Main Auditorium, PLN Headquarters located in South Jakarta, this event was attended by a number of other speakers, namely Edo Mahendra, Expert Staff in the Green Economy Sector of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Buntoro Setiomulyo Founder of PT Mega Andalan Kalasan, Nurlely Aman Senior Executive Vice President of Law at PLN and M. Syahman Samhan who is an alumnus of LPDP PK-181, a graduate of The University of New South Wales (UNSW) Australia and is the founder of Solarin which operates in the field of Solar Power Plants (PLTS).
Raising discussions related to best practices for reducing emissions in various sectors to achieve the net zero emission goal in line with the Indonesian government, this forum received enthusiasm and positive responses from all participants who were LPDP alumni, as evidenced by the many questions and discussions between participants and speakers that needed comprehensive explanation.
In his presentation, Ridwan explained the potential of various sectors in the renewable energy sector. "Indonesia has quite a large solar potential, and this is a gift that is given. Moreover, SEI has had experience since 2007 in the field of Renewable Energy, this is SEI's capital to continue to contribute to Indonesia in the future," he said.
Ridwan also gave his tips on the challenges currently being faced, one of which is the production capacity of solar panels owned by Indonesia and abroad is considered quite different, in Indonesia the capacity that can be produced is only around 330 - 400Wp while abroad the capacity that can be produced has reached 700Wp with a fairly long TKDN process.
SEI's presence in the forum is a form of recognition of SEI's dedication and existence which continues to be committed to contributing to various forums that will enrich understanding, experience and discussion of important issues that are currently happening. Hopefully, with the existence of the Community Of Practice Renewable Energy, it can provide the right solution to these problems.
