SEI Officially Completes 585 kWp Floating Solar Power Plant at Tambak Lorok, Semarang
Semarang (10/02/2026) — SEI has successfully completed the construction of a 585 kWp Floating Solar Power Plant at the Tambak Lorok Combined Cycle Power Plant (PLTGU) in Semarang, marking another important milestone in supporting Indonesia’s transition to renewable energy. The project was executed under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with PLN Indonesia Geothermal and has now been officially handed over.
Designed to supply the PDCSTG 1 load in Block 1 of PLN Indonesia Power UBP Semarang, the floating solar power plant is expected to improve internal energy efficiency by providing auxiliary power for several critical facilities, including the Water Treatment Plant, Unit 1 Auxiliary System, Emergency System, Condenser Vacuum System, and control room lighting.
Construction took place between September and December 2025. Throughout the project, the SEI team successfully overcame several technical and operational challenges while maintaining the highest standards of quality and occupational safety.
One of the primary challenges involved ensuring occupational safety during installation on water, particularly under extreme weather conditions. To safeguard personnel and maintain compliance with safety regulations, all installation activities were suspended whenever heavy rainfall created unsafe working conditions.

Another major challenge was integrating the new system with an existing operational facility. As the project expanded an active system, the legacy infrastructure had to remain fully operational throughout the integration process. This required meticulous planning, greater technical precision, and a longer execution period than conventional rooftop or ground-mounted solar power plant installations.
Erwin Widodo, Electrical Engineer at PLN Indonesia Power UBP Semarang, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and successful completion of the project.
“We highly appreciate SEI’s performance in successfully delivering this project. We hope the floating solar power plant will continue to operate safely and reliably in supporting the PDC Block 1 power supply, which requires a high level of stability,” he said.
Echoing this optimism, Yudistira Priatna, Project Manager at SEI, emphasized the company's commitment to advancing renewable energy development across Indonesia.
“Looking ahead, we hope SEI will continue to be entrusted with strategic renewable energy projects, including floating, rooftop, ground-mounted, and other clean energy developments. We remain committed to delivering reliable and sustainable energy solutions that contribute to Indonesia’s clean energy transition,” Yudistira said.
With the successful completion of this project, SEI continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in renewable energy infrastructure development. The achievement further demonstrates the company's capability to deliver complex engineering projects while reinforcing its commitment to supporting Indonesia's transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

From Roof Tiles to Clean Energy: Time for Rooftops to Become a Resource
The “gentengnisasi” program launched by the government is not merely about improving housing quality. Beyond that, this initiative opens up massive opportunities to deliver clean energy solutions through the utilization of a Rooftop Solar Power System (PLST Atap).
Stronger and more modern roof structures provide the ideal foundation for solar panel installations. This means that every rooftop now has the potential to transform into an efficient, sustainable, and independent source of electricity.
PT Surya Energi Indotama has proven this potential through PLTS Atap installation implementations in the Batang region. This project demonstrates how the modernization of building infrastructure can run in perfect harmony with the acceleration of the national energy transition.
By optimizing rooftop areas, rooftop solar systems deliver a range of strategic benefits :
- Long-term energy cost efficiency
- Significant reduction in carbon emissions
- Enhanced property and building value
- Direct support towards national renewable energy targets
Energy transformation does not always have to start with massive utility-scale projects. Sometimes, great change begins right above our heads—from the very roofs of our buildings.
PT Surya Energi Indotama remains firmly committed to delivering reliable and sustainable solar energy solutions for Indonesia.

Consistency in Quality, SEI Retains ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Bandung (05/02/2026) - SEI retains its commitment to managing quality standards of company operations. Through two days of audit activity in SEI office, the company officially declared that they successfully retained ISO 9001:2015 certification through surveillance auditing from the year before.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for Quality Management System. This standard assigns criteria for organizations to confirm that their product and service consistently meet customer needs and ensure continuous improvement. For SEI, this audit is not only an administrative routine but also an instrument for validating the management effectiveness amidst the dynamics of the renewable energy business.
The event commenced on the first day with an opening session, followed by document audits and field observations (04/02), which then continued onto the second day, concluding with the closing ceremony (05/02). This audit was led by Andri Prasetyo, an auditor from the international certification body, Worldwide Quality Assurance (WQA).
Some of the divisions that are involved in the audit process as an auditee, including
- Quality Management Representative (QMR)
- Human Capital & Business Support (HCBS)
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Commercial Sales
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)

Based on the audit result, Andri Prasetyo stated that no non-comformities were found in the implementation of SEI’s Quality Management System. However, auditors emphasize the importance of continuous improvement that is adapted to current business conditions.
In the report, Andri gave special appreciation to the shown progress of SEI. He points out that the input from the audit years before has been well implemented, especially through digitalization action.
“I highly appreciate that the feedback from the previous year has been addressed with tangible improvements. SEI has now digitized its operations through the internally developed SEI Office dashboard. This innovation significantly streamlines employees’ daily operations,” said Andri Prasetyo.
Responding to the positive results, SEI’s Director of Technical and Operations, Ridwan Kurnia, stated that this achievement is important momentum for the company to continue growing and strengthen these cross-collaborations.
“This is our time to thrive and work together with every element, driven by confidence we have in our quality, capabilities, and services,” stated Ridwan in the closing session.
But Ridwan is also giving criticism notes to all levels of management. He reminds that the action plan that has been designed after the audit doesn't stop at the level of documentation.
“Do not let the action plan from these audit results be only a formality. We need to stay focused on the value creation. This standard should be the core in every process of our business," he said.
By retaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification, SEI further solidifies its position as a renewable energy pioneer that prioritizes professional governance and global standards.”
